Michael Berg's high school teacher told him he'd make a good attorney because he had a good memory and he liked to argue. Seems she was right. Michael's been a licensed and practicing attorney for more than twenty-five years. . Since graduating from St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, Texas in 1980, Michael has been a general practice attorney, offering legal services in criminal, personal injury, business and family law. After practicing law successfully in Texas for twenty years, Michael moved to Arizona because he needed a change. That desire for variety is one of reasons why general practice law is such a good fit for Michael. "It's different everyday," he says. "I love it." . From DUI to divorce to contracts to personal injury lawsuits, Michael works hard for all of his clients. He always has his clients" best interests in mind, and truly cares about them and the outcome of their cases. "I don't talk down to anyone," Michael says frankly. "Most of my clients do like me and refer business to me." . Although he's an experienced trial and appellate attorney, today most of Michael's negotiations are completed before cases to go trial. "Only about ten percent of cases go to trial," says Michael. "It's usually in the client's best interests to reach a settlement since trials are financially straining and the outcome is never guaranteed." . Michael is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. His law offices are located in Scottsdale, and he serves clients in Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Fountain Hills. .
